Originating from Scranton, Pennsylvania, Dr. Burner's passion for eyecare is deeply ingrained, inspired by her father, a highly successful optometrist in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Dr. Burner's journey to excellence began with a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from the prestigious University of Pittsburgh, a testament to her dedication to academic brilliance. She achieved the coveted Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, where she refined her expertise under the guidance of industry luminaries as the culmination of her pursuit of knowledge.
During her academic endeavors, Dr. Burner's compassionate spirit shone brightly through her involvement in charitable causes, where she dedicated her time to volunteering at a long-term care facility to impart knowledge to visually impaired students near Pittsburgh.
Her areas of specialization are comprehensive eye exams, with an emphasis on eye disease, specialty contact lens fittings, and surgical co-management. Dr. Burner also possesses an affinity for working with children, demonstrating her nurturing approach to patient care.
She’s also a member of the American Optometric Association and Maryland Optometric Association, and outside of work, Dr. Burner enjoys exploring the local area, hiking, restaurant hopping, and cherishing precious moments with her fiancé, family, and friends.
